In 1984, right after Judge Green ruled AT&T was operating as a commerce monopoly and executed the divestiture degree or the break-up of “Ma Bell,” Chicago Consolidated Communications was founded with a focus on selling, installing and supporting Telephone Systems and Equipment as a Nortel Dealer.
Since 1984, CCC Technologies has consistently evolved with the needs of our customers. Below are some key milestones that mark that evolution.
1997
Chicago Consolidated signs new Partner agreement with AT&T/Lucent Technologies (in 1999 Lucent will spin off Telephone system division and Avaya is new company) becoming the 87th Business Partner to sign up. Today there are over 1600 Avaya Business Partners; CCC is still one of the oldest and longest tenured Avaya Business Partners in the world.
2000
CCC Partners with our first National Account and changes name from Chicago Consolidated Communication to CCC Technologies, Inc. CCC will go on to secure multiple National Accounts.
2003
CCC completes our first multiple location (18 sites) deployment. An all VoIP Avaya-based solution for a local bank with multiple ACD applications. Soon after CCC begins recruiting DeVry graduates to provide voice and data education and cross training of all CCC traditional voice Engineers.
2006
CCC discovers Fortinet solutions and signs an agreement to sell, implement, and support Fortinet applications. Subsequently, due to the success of the Fortinet Partnership CCC becomes a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) offering Firewall, VPN, and Security solutions to small businesses in managed offer agreements.
2008
CCC Technologies launches, ConvergeSecure®, as a full-service data Managed Service Provider (MSP). We re-brand our voice maintenance as ConvergeAssure®.
In addition to voice maintenance, ConvergeAssure® also provides multiple managed voice offerings including telco & carrier vendor management.
2011
CCC builds and rolls out our own hosted voice offer, ConvergeConnect® and begins providing cloud-based voice solutions. In addition to hosted offers in 2011, CCC also becomes and authorized Mitel partner, offering the full portfolio of Mitel solutions.
CCC Today
Today we support everything from a 28,000 user National Account to a five (5) person dental office. Small enough to care – large enough to get the job done! With experienced account executives and a World Class operations team and Network Operations Center (NOC) we help customers with single site or multiple location environments with CCC resources that deliver deep engineering expertise and provide specialization skills with designing, deploying, and maintaining voice, contact/content centers, data, and video. We can offer these solutions on-premise, in a data center (colo), and/or hosted (cloud).
